Babe Ruth League, Inc. is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to developing better citizens by providing properly supervised baseball competition for 5 through 18-year-old players. Established in 1951 and incorporated in 1952, there are now over 6,300 leagues and more than 43,800 teams in the United States and Canada.
East Twins Babe Ruth was established in 1961. It is a 100% non-profit volunteer organization which serves Maplewood, St. Paul, Oakdale, North St. Paul, Stillwater, White Bear Lake as well as other east metro communities. No board member, officer, team manager, team coach or assistant coach receives any compensation for their time contributed to the baseball organization.
The lighted East Twins field is located on the corner of Larpenteur Ave. & Prosperity Rd. The dimensions of the field make it competitive for 13 , 14, and 15-year-olds. The Cal Ripken field, which is located across the street, has smaller dimensions for the younger players. .
How East Twins Works!
13 - 15-Year-Olds - Tryouts for the 13-15s are held in early April and the regular season runs through mid-July, with the post-season play continuing through the end of July and early August, depending on advancement. East Twins provides a sponsored league for 13-year-olds which accepts full teams along with individual registrations. For the 14/15-year-old league there are four teams that play a minimum of 20 games. The East Twins 13s & 14-15--year-olds are provided full uniforms, performance shirts, fitted hats, and an opportunity offered for an out of town tournament trip.
